Senior Forensic Technology & Discovery Services Consultant

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Forensic Technology & Discovery Services to join our team.

The opportunity

The team technical specialists within FTDS deal with capturing, consolidating and interrogating massive volumes of structured data (e.g. financial systems) and unstructured data (e.g. emails and user documents).

Your key responsibilities

  • Work with multiple client engagement teams and focus on data analytics cases. Involve in electronic discovery and computer forensics operations on a variety of cases;
  • Perform forensic analysis to determine flows of data/ files and to extract and analyze logs or audit trails from switches, routers or gateways;
  • Participate in electronic data collection exercises;
  • Assist in preparing working papers, schedules and reports that will be delivered to our clients and other parties;
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures;
  • Data Analysis operations include working with relational databases, analytical and statistical packages / tools – such as Kibana / Elasticsearch, SQL Server, Tableau and Spotfire, to analyze data in support of investigations, litigations and other engagements;
  • E-Discovery operations include forensic data extractions, processing data, running quality control checks, review support and productions;
  • Computer forensic operations include imaging suspect’s computers, recovering deleted files and extracting relevant documents from the images using Encase and other forensic tools, with a view to further analyze the information contained within the forensic image, to substantiate in relation to different scenarios, in line with the allegations raised case by case;
  • Collaborate with team members in executing the engagement and keeping managers updated on the engagement status;
  • Maintain an efficient, innovative and team-oriented environment. Contribute to the growth of the practice by supporting executives on sales pursuits, providing informal and formal training to staff, and innovating current processes;

  • Knowledge of English at intermediate level or above
  • Confidence in PC use (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science;
  • Good knowledge of database computer languages such as SQL Server, Oracle;
  • Basic knowledge of computer forensics applications such as EnCase, FTK, or NUIX is a plus;
  • Knowledge of eDiscovery processing and hosting/review platforms such as Relativity is a plus;
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Ruby, R, Python is a plus;
  • Good knowledge of applications such as Command Prompt, Curl, CLI, Terminal is a plus;
  • Good knowledge of virtualization software, such as but not limited to VMWare, OracleVM;
  • Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP is a plus;
  • Good IT administration knowledge as well as hands-on computer hardware and network knowledge;
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills;
  • Strong teamwork skill;
  • Advanced in spoken and written English;
  • Travelling may be required on specific engagements undertaken.
