Government Decision for the approval of the gross minimum base salary to be paid at the national level
The Government Decision no. 937 of 7 December 2018 was published in the Official Gazette no. 1045 of 10 December 2018
As of 1 January 2018, the gross minimum base salary to be paid at the national level is of RON 2,080 per month.
This amount is establish as cash payment and does not include allowances or other incentives.
The value of the gross minimum base salary to be paid at the national level takes into consideration a normal working schedule on average of 167.333 hours, per month, representing RON 12.43/ hour.
By way of exception, the employees hired on positions which require higher education, with a seniority of at least one year as high educated employee, the gross minimum base salary to be paid at the national level, not including allowances or other incentives, is of RON 2,350 per month, for the same working schedule.
